NEXUS kicks off Season 2 with an exciting and varied program of Haydn, Takemitsu, Fauré, Messiaen, and Schumann, featuring artists Alexi Kenney, Zoë Martin-Doike, Victor Asuncion, and NEXUS Fellow Gabriela Lara.

NEXUS dives into the eclectic with a rarely performed work by Antonin Dvořák and an enigmatic offering by György Kurtág, rounded off with exquisite and exciting classics by Prokofiev and Brahms.

Music is a powerful expression of time and place. NEXUS explores this theme through four lovely offerings by composers with powerful regional voices, including a stunning string quartet by Chicago’s own Florence Price.

NEXUS Chamber Music concludes their second summer season in Roosevelt University’s Ganz Hall with a glowing program that evokes images of darkness and light, capped with the shimmering and effervescent Quintet in C Major by Franz Schubert.
